Day 01: Delhi

Arrive Delhi, transfer to hotel.

Day 02: Delhi

Visit Old Delhi : Visit Jama Mosque (1650 A.D) and drive through fabled Chandni Chowk (Moonlight Square), the main area of the old city. Visit the Red Fort (1639-48 A.D),built by the builder of the Taj Mahal – Shah Jehan and famous for its delicately carved, inlaid and marbled Royal Chambers.
Raj Ghat – where the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi was cremated (1948 A.D) . VisitNew Delhi : Visit Humayun’s Tomb (1565 A.D) aptly called the redecessor of Taj Mahal. Drive past Safdarjang’s Tomb (1753 A.D), and visit the Qutub Minar – 72 meters high and one of the prefect towers of the Persian World.

Day 03: Delhi – Chandigarh – Manali (Train/Car)

Transfer to railway station for superfast Shatabdi express train to Chandigarh, Arrive Chandigarh, met upon arrival and drive straight to reach Manali (1920 M) by covering 338 kms in 8 hrs approx. Arrive Manali and check into hotel for overnight stay.

Day 04: Manali

Manali Full day sightseeing of Manali visiting Hadimba devi temple, vashisht hot water spring, tibetan monastery, Naggar Castle and local bazar. Overnight in hotel in Manali.

05: Manali – Keylong (Jeep)

Morning after breakfast drive to Keylong (3349 M) (115 kms /6 hrs approx) via Rohtang pass (3980 M).Afternoon visit Khardong gompa.Dinner and overnight in hotel in Keylong.

06: Keylong – Sarchu (Jeep)

Morning after breakfast drive to Sarchu (4253 M) (127 kms/5 hrs approx) via Baralachala (4892 M). Sarchu is inhabited by Himalayan Clan Gaddi and few lonely soldiers at an army outpost. It is also the actual border between Lahaul and Zanskar. Arrive and overnight stay in tents in Sarchu.

Day 07: Sarchu – Leh (Jeep)

Morning after breakfast drive to Leh (3500 M) (233 kms/8 – 9 hrs approx.) via Lachulangla (5065 M) and Tanglangla (5360 M) – the second highest pass in the world with metalled road. Leh is the capital of Ladakh and is situated on the bank of the river Indus. Arrive and check into hotel for overnight stay in Leh.

Day 08: Leh

After breakfast take a leisurely walk to visit Leh gompa, Leh palace and local bazaar. Return to hotel for lunch. Afternoon leave for a half day visit to Sankar, Spituk and Phyang gompas.Dinner and overnight in hotel in Leh.

Day 09: Leh

Morning proceed for sightseeing of Shey, old summer palace with 12 feet statue of Buddha: Thikse, the superbly situated Monastery on a hilltop overlooking the village and the indus river and Hemis Monastery the richest and the largest Monastery of the area. Afternoon at leisure.Overnight stay at hotel in Leh.

Day 10: Leh – Uleytokpo (Jeep / 68 kms 1. 5 hrs approx)

After breakfast leave for Uleytokpo, enroute visit Likir gompa. On arrival in Uleytokpo check-in at Ukel Ethnic Camping Resort. Afternoon lunch visit Alchi gompa. Dinner and overnight in camp in Uleytokpo.

Day 11: Uleytokpo – Lamayuru – Leh (Jeep)

After early breakfast leave for Lamayuru (60 kms / 2 hrs approx) with box lunch, visit monastery and retrace the route back to Leh (128 kms / 4 – 5 hrs approx). Evening free at leisure.Dinner and overnight in hotel in Leh.

Day 12: Leh

After breakfast a half day visit to Stok palace and SOS Tibetan Refujee camp at Choglamsar. Return to hotel for lunch. Afternoon free at leisure.Dinner and overnight in hotel in Leh.

Day 13: Leh – Delhi -Onward destination

Early morning after breakfast transfer to airport for flight back to Delhi to connect flight onward destination.
